When you use Spybot ONE (iOS/iPadOS), you can log into your Spybot Support Forum account. The Privacy Policy of our forum applies here. If doing so, your forum email address will be added to Identity Monitor and you can query your license keys for Safer-Networking Ltd. products.
Identity Monitor
Spybot Identity Monitor refrains from doing any kind of user behaviour monitoring, tracking or telemetry!
Internet Connection
- Spybot Identity Monitor can look up new versions online to inform you about updates. We may store standard webserver logs about these connections for up to two months to get estimates on total installation counts only. You can disable the automatic update tests from Settings.
- If you test passwords, these will be hashed and only a part of the hash will be used to retrieve a list of all hashes with the same beginning digits that are known as compromised. This way, no passwords will leave your computer.
- The software contacts our server to check for breaches that include the accounts you specify. Only email addresses and usernames will be transmitted. The server caches some results using salted hashes of these IDs only.
- If you follow the link for online information while browsing immunizer details, our website will open in your browser. The Privacy Policy will guide you for that case.
No Internet connection is anonymous, since it transmits your IP address, which is regarded as personally identifiable information in the European Union.
Access to your data
Spybot Identity Monitor stores breach data on your device only remember if you have acknowledged a breach.
Technical Details
Breach lookup data gets sent over a TLS 1.2 encrypted SSL connection to our Safer-Networking servers, which connect Have I Been Pawned, a trusted service by Troy Hunt, Microsoft Regional Director and Most Valuable Professional awardee for Developer Security. Your monitored addresses are not stored there. You can check the HIBP Privacy Policy for details.
If you use the “Password Tester”, only the first five letters of a computed hash of your password is transmitted. Neither your password nor the full hash will ever be transmitted (read more).

Looking up phone numbers manually will contact our servers to get the latest information online.
