Introduction
Good mobile security for Apples mobile devices running iOS or iPadOS isn’t easy – Apple’s good separation of applications prevents even security software from scanner other apps and their data. For years, security applications were really just something you had to actively send files to to be scanned.
Over the years, Apple added interfaces that finally allow to add a certain level of real security and privacy protection – blocking network traffic, blocking sites in Safari and blocking bad callers is now possible.
In 2015, we had an iPhone app that didn’t make it into the App Store because it was too good; with these new official options, we decided to give it another go.
Available only through Testflight invites currently.
Features

The dashboard shown when you start the app shows the mobile functionality of the various Spybot apps as known from the desktop:
Spybot Anti-Scam is new in the mobile edition and allows to block scam sites, and also scam callers.
Spybot – Search & Destroy allows to block the same malware hosts that the desktop versions Immunization feature does, both either for just Safari or the whole system.
Spybot Anti-Beacon allows you to block the same telemetry hosts the desktop version blocks, both either for just Safari or the whole system.
Spybot Identity Monitor monitors your email accounts and informs you if it detects that they are part of a data breach.
VPN is work in progress and allows you to make private connections even if you are on an untrusted public wifi like in a café or at the airport.
Devices is a local network scanner – it attempts to find local hijacks on other infected machines, and simply gives you an overview over the local devices it detects.
