Datadog Telemetry

This detection was added in Anti-Beacon 6.7.

Anti-Beacon treats this as telemetry because Datadog Browser Real User Monitoring collects browser-session and application monitoring data. Datadog documents browser RUM data intake and proxying for customer applications (Datadog Docs: Proxy Your Browser RUM Data). Datadog’s privacy policy says product information includes “information provided in logs, traces, and metrics” and may include IP address and online identifiers (Datadog Privacy Policy). Datadog’s RUM data-security documentation also says Browser RUM requires first-party cookies to collect data and that, for mobile RUM, accepted tracking means Datadog tracks activity and session experience (Datadog Docs: Real User Monitoring Data Security).

Anti-Beacon blocks Datadog browser telemetry intake used by Real User Monitoring, rather than every Datadog service.
