Some users have experienced issues with the latest update.
If you are experiencing update issues, please follow the steps below to try and solve the problem:
Please download the file from the the link below, and copy it into the Spybot program folder.
The Spybot Program Folder is located here:
In 32-Bit systems : C:\Program Files\Spybot – Search & Destroy 2
In 64-Bit systems : C:\Program Files(x86)\Spybot – Search & Destroy 2
After this file has been downloaded and moved, please run the file.
Once you have run the installer, please restart your machine then try to update again.
– Open Spybot by right-clicking on the Spybot icon on your Desktop, and clicking “Run as administrator”.
– Tick the checkbox next to “Advanced User Mode”.
– Click on “Update” to search for new updates.
– In the Update window displayed, click “Update” again to download and install any new updates.
If the update fails on the 1st attempt, please press the update button again.
You should also disable any other security programs that could be running which may interfere with the Spybot update, causing it to fail.
